Summary: Information for AESHS Support vendors to install and configure the VPN client, and access Adlai E. Stevenson High School's VPN service.

Install the Cisco AnyConnect Client

Visit the following URL: https://shs-asa.d125.org

Once the page loads, select the AESHS-Support group from the drop-down menu, and enter the login credentials provided to you.

Once successfully logged in, you will be presented with a warning regarding connecting to Adlai E. Stevenson High School's VPN. Click the Continue button.

The SHS-ASA website will then request to use the Java plugin. Click the Trust button to allow, and continue the installation process.

The Java plugin will ask for permission to continue, click the Continue button. The Java plugin will then ask for permission to run, click the Run button. Finally, Java will give a Security Warning, click the Allow button.

For Windows users, Java should automatically install the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client on your system, and it should be accessible from the Start menu. Once installed, you may skip ahead to the Configuration of the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobile Client section.

For Mac users, after a few seconds, the web-based installation process will fail, and you will be presented with the option for a Manual Installation. Click the Mac OS X 10.8+ (Intel) link to download the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client. It should (depending on your settings) download the installer to your Downloads folder.

In your Downloads folder, you will see a file named (something similar to) anyconnect-macosx-3.1.07021-web-deploy-k9.dmg. Double-click this file, and a new window will open. Double-click the vpn.pkg file in the window that opens to install the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client. Follow the directions to complete the installation.

Once the installation is complete, you will find the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client in your Applications folder (Macintosh HD > Applications)

Connecting to VPN with the Cisco AnyConnect Mobile Client
